Best price for 10D in the UK ?

What's the best price people have seen the 10D for in the UK.

http://www.askdirect.co.uk have it for £1260
Surjit, the cheapest that I have seen in the UK are:

£1238:
Cameras at Lowest Prices
http://www.cameras-at-lowest-prices.co.uk/

£1249:
Digital Depot
http://www.digitaldepot.co.uk/

£1279 :
Ace Cameras
http://www.acecameras.co.uk/

All prices include VAT.

I have bought from all three of these shops (both mail order and in person over the counter), and can vouch for the efficiency, integrity and helpfulness of all three. I bought my Canon 10D last Saturday from "Cameras at Lowest Prices" (which is the Web/Mail Order name of the business; their shop in Chichester is called "Sussex Camera Exchange"). In addition, they are also probably the cheapest place to get the Canon 28-135 mm IS lens (£306).

Hope this helps,
Terry

PS: I note that the price at http://www.askdirect.co.uk is actually £1269, not £1260. Only a small difference, but every little helps!

Whats lens do you use with the 10D ?
For starters, I bought a Canon 28-135mm IS USM (£306) and a Canon 75-300mm IS USM (£399).

I tend to shoot mainly telephoto (wildlife, domestic dogs, etc), so have no great need for a high-quality wide-angle lens, however in the very near future I plan to get a compact wide-angle zoom for landscapes, groups of people etc, probably a Canon 20-35mm f3.5 USM or a Tamron 19-35mm f3.5 (the forthcoming Canon 17-40mm f4 sounds attractive, although the estimated £800 price tag looks a little steep!) -- the Tamron always receives good reviews and is relatively cheap (about £180). I also plan to get a macro lens for insects and plants, probably either a Canon 100mm f2.8 USM (if I can find one second-hand) or a Tamron 90mm f2.8 SP (which always receives rave reviews and is half the price of the Canon).

Terry.

It's literally 6 days old and spanking new minty mint. I bought it
when I thought I couldn't afford the 16/35L 24/70L combo that I
really wanted. (Still can't afford them, but I've ordered them
anyway).

If you are interested, drop me an email.

--I find that as well. If I can't afford it I usually order it anyway.

lol - it's that damn buyer's remorse that affects Hifi, and Camera Equipment buyers :)
