I've posted in Epson forum, no help yet (maybe wrong forum), I've tried search that is down. Sorry: Searching is currently unavailable due to a fault with our full text indexing software. We do not currently have an ETA for repair.

Looking to get a scanner to go with my epson 2200 printer to load photos to my Dell. My research leads me to the Epson 2400?
Just looking for opinions.

I just got a 2400 last week and am very impressed. The negative/slide scans are superior to the Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II I had a couple years ago (2800dpi). I'm wondering why and can't quite figure it out. Perhaps technology has improved that much in two years? Epson is coming out with an even higher resolution 3200 printer to replace the 2400. This 2400 creates 38 meg files from color negatives.

My only complaint is that the software sometimes glitches and is a bit buggy, but the hardware's excellent.

Thanks for the reply, sounds like a nice scanner. My post in the Epson forum also led me to the 3200. Considering one or the other at this time.

You might be able to track down a 2450 also. It was the model that was replaced by the 3200.
