Re: My experience

Ed, the problem is that I have XP-Pro with SP1. Still no go. I'm going to try the software one someone elses PC today. Hope it works, don't really want to have to wait for it to be serviced. Not with spring on the way!

BTW ive tried mass transfer protocol now too. And reinstalling the drivers etc. Still nothing, the program just says it cant see the camera - but the OS and nview sees it fine.

I'm turning the camera on with the USB attached, then loading the program. Is that the right order of things?

Hi Marek K,
I have a new 5700 with a hot pixel and I have had the same problem
that you're having with the CCD software. It seems that if you're
using
Win98SE as I am, the software won't recognize the camera via the
USB connection. The author says his software will recognize the
camera via a COM port in WIN '98 but I don't know of any way to
connect the 5700 to a com port. Don't think it will work. Seems the
only solution may be to upgrade to XP.

Anything special in how you run the program bud? Mine wont detect
the cam - 5700 v1.0 and winXP. Running PTP in camera for USB.
I'm at a loss as to whyu it doesn't pick the camera up.
