It's great that we have so many options and that a case can be made

My friends also confirmed horrible chromatic aberration in Olympus
cameras. You can check this:

Your friend needs to look at some more C5050 and other Oly examples that are terrific before making a general assessment like that. I'm sure horrible results can be obtained by most any camera without a whole lot of work.

in europe, you can get olympus at 840Euros, G3 at 860Euros and
Coolpix 5000 at 930Euros... we can say the price is quite the
same... so, any opinion ?
