The resolution of the EVF is actually much higher (about 2.4x). But, for me, i prefer zooming in and fine tuning focus.. i can do it on the fly fairly easily now. In this case, the added resolution of the EVF doesnt matter as much since when you MF, you are looking for when the photo "snaps" into focus.

I dont use peaking for still photos because thats just not accurate enough.. so again, the EVF would not benefit the way i shoot.
