Thanks, but it's actually very simple given todays tech, and a crash course in astronomy, and some research on the net. Most of the software is free, and a tracker is about $300. I did this with the FZ150 (should be easy to do this with sx40 and sx50 and other compacts with 15-30 sec shutter time too) And you guys also have the hack for making as long a shutter time as you want. When the hack is in place for the SX50, I'll probably buy one.

By the way,the Vixen Polarie trecker, also have a setting for moon speed, so you can take pictures with slow shutter time of the moon during lunar eclipses.
