Re: Upgrade to K5 or buy a Tamron 70-200

I just picked up the Tamron 70-200 a couple months ago. It is a amazing lens for its price. It has been great for portraits, but on my k10d the screw driven lens is slow to focus in most situations. It would probably hunt way to much on your k200d for sports. The tamron does seem to focus much faster on a K-5 from what I've seen. If you have to pick one though I would say get a new body. Personally I would get a K-5II for sports. I think the improved focusing and lcd are worth it. Then get the tamron later. The combination of the two would great for sports. I am getting the K5II 18-135mm kit the day it comes out. I will let you know how the combo handles once I get it.
