Correct. About 1/3 stop, which means that increasing exposure by 1/3 stop allows the exact same amount of light to reach the sensor.

So, it would be better for the IQ f the SLT would flip up for the picture.

What it would do is allow exposure to be about 1/3 stop lower with the same amount of light reaching the sensor. In corner cases this allows for shorter shutter time, that is pretty much the only effect it has.

Sorry that you don't seem to understand that. Maybe you can ask someone to explain it for you.

Please do explain how increased exposure increases IQ. I am sure you have a nobel prize coming your way if you can explain this.
