It was indeed a rare phenomenon and could be largely avoided by using larger apertures when facing the light.

It became more annoying when I got into using the panorama feature. Set to panorama, the camera tends to set a higher iso than is really necessary and then a small aperture to compensate. Result: somewhere on the panorama there would be nearly always be a blue patch. This appears to be completely sorted now, so credit to Fuji, they got it wrong in the early cameras and have now put things right. Just like Microsoft, Serif, BMW, Merc. etc. etc .............

The more I use this camera the more I like it. At under £500 it's great value.
