Buy-a-Feature game (a-la-carte firmware)

Suppose Sony was offering an a-la-carte firmware, which options would you be willing to pay for, and how much would you pay (max)?

As an owner of an A77, I'd be willing to pay for these options:

  • CDAF - $200

  • Electronic AF limiter (like in A99) - $150

  • Option to use JPEG-only feature (e.g., Panorama, HDR, Smart tele-converter) in RAW+JPEG mode, retaining the RAW files - $50

  • 5 or 6 fps Continues Drive mode without slide show effect (as in the A55 I believe) - $40

  • Default magnification level (in playback mode) rememberd from last time, and with 6 or 7 steps instead of 30 - $40

  • QuickNavi instead of function menu - $30

  • Ability to disable linear AF points in Local AF point selection mode, keeping only cross-type ones selectable - $20

  • More visible AF points in the viewfinder (e.g. black rectangles surrounded with brighter colored ones) - $10

  • Option to completely disable NR in JPEG - $10

  • An option display live-view constantly in the viewfinder, and only display post-view images in the LCD - $10

  • Customizable Help button - $10

Total: $570
