Just about any Nikon DSLR would be fine.

I'd avoid the D100, and D1 generation for varying reasons

But D50 & 70 are available for around 100-150 and would suit you fine. With kit lens would approach 200. D3000, 3100 too.

Some kit lenses are, some are not image stabilized. You'll be looking for the initials VR for Vibration Reduction.
