Nikon D600 vs. Fuji S5 Pro - highlight dynamic range

Hi all. I did some tests to compare the highlight range of the Fuji S5 Pro with that of the Nikon D600. The tests are inconclusive because in part of the absence of Adobe raw support for the D600 and because I didn't have the time to test Active D-Lighting more rigorously. Nonetheless, from what I can see, it appears the S5 still has superior highlight range. (Yes I'm aware the D600 has greater total DR than the S5).

This was the test scene, which I shot at various exposure levels:

D600 without ADL:

At the same exposure level, D600 with ADL Extra High:

At the same exposure level, Fuji S5 detail (note the specular highlight on the red ribbon):

Here is my blogpost on it:

Will retest when Adobe has D600 raw support, and will pay close attention to ADL.

Best regards,
