A lot of BS in Canon's statement

We know since the Dxomark that more pixels do not mean more noise when you normalize the output to a given resolution. Downsample a hi iso picture from any current high MP full-frame exmor to 20MP and you get something on par with any current canon offering. Plus, the high MP exmor gives you a massive resolution and DR advantage at base iso.

Canon fails to grasp or tries to hide the fact that they haven't made any progress in the resolution-normalized quality of their sensors over the past 5 yrs.

The only real downside of a high MP sensor is file size. The hit on picture quality as alleged by this interview is BS.
