Many shooters have 10-30VR and/or 30-110VR lens attached to their camera.

I don't have the longer zoom, just the 10-30, which for me is just too slow, and a bit soft in the WA end, and I shoot mostly WA. So the 10 f/2.8 is the best lens for me. The camera becomes very light and small, fits in the jacket pouch actually.

I think leaving the freedom of the zoom home helps concentrating on looking at things more carefully, on composition.
