Would someone explain to me (a retired senior engineer in world renown aerospace company and long time amateur photographer who fully understands film speed and how it is derived) what the £$^ (%& ^$ is meant by ISOless?

Alright I know that there is no difference in the end result with RAW files on my D700 in setting the ISO control to 400, underexposing by 3 stops and then winding exposure up by 3 stops in Lightroom and setting ISO3200 on the camera and doing nothing in Lightroom. Is this what you mean?
