AI/AI-S Pics, Feedback on New D600 Body Or D800/E?

I'd welcome serious, considered feedback or sample images from any manual focus Nikkor lenses used with the D600 or D800/E . I'm looking to buy the new D600, but any feedback using MF glass on the D800/E I imagine would be very helpful as well.

Most of my favorite Nikkors are AI-S or AI-P lenses. Currently I have the 28/2.8, 45/2.8 Pancake, 105/2.8, 135/2.8. They seem to draw nicely, perhaps less "clinically" than my AF-S glass. Or maybe I just like manual focus - at least I know any focus errors are my own fault and not a camera's fussy AF subsystem

Anyway, I'm very interested in quite a few things about using AI/AI-S lenses on the D600 or D800/E.

  • Any sources of/links to nice sample shots? Carefully constructed photographs or careful "test shots" would be most helpful.

  • Any personal assessment of final image quality from actual manual focus Nikkor shooters only ? Comparative assessment? Please, I do NOT want useless random opining about "best glass" or chiming in with random 3rd party input! I'm looking for concrete information from personal shooting/printing experience.

  • Any links to useful articles or blog posts on using AI/AI-S lenses on the D600 or D800/E?

  • Feedback on the manual focus experience using the D600 screen, focus assist?

  • Focus accuracy? Focus Speed? Both compared to classic Nikon MF body screens (I have an FM3a) or 3rd party MF screens installed in new DSLRS.

  • Effectiveness of lens fine tuning and/or sending lenses out for adjustment to the new body?

Many thanks!
