The reality is that this is a lens designed for photographers more than pixel peepers. If you are going to pixel peep alongside primes, it will not always match up (no surprise there, it's a zoom).

But as a lens for day to day use, it's a keeper if you can afford it.

Well said. I am one of the ones who has this lens and love it....and I am using it on an EM5 body.
