Re: Number of pics I take etc.

At the last sports day for the school I took 600 pics. Several with fps engaged.
I prefer to take only a few pics if possible, and do not take lots and lots.
Just try and get the critical moment.

I was particularly frustrated when I was right in line with the 100 metre sprint and had the runners coming directly towards me. Trying to catch the winner crossing the line I started the fps when they were about 7 metres from the winning line.

However I found that by the time they hit the line I had lost focus all too often.

I must confess that as old habits die hard, I still use a camera as though there is a film inside, and perhaps I should take more shots to ensure I get exactly what I want.

Clearly from what has been offered here the A77 looks the go.
Thanks again for the advice - much appreciated.

Ok,

One more things about sensitivity:
— if you shoot .jpeg mostly (with PP a few) choosing the A77 is no problem;

— if you shoot .raw mostly (because you like to spend the time in the digital darkroom), I think the A99 would be a better choice, because you maybe would be disappointed with the A77 .raw;
— if you shoot at native ISO mostly, that dosen't matter, choose what you want.

Kind Regards,
