FA*300 + 1.7x AFA
In search of a bit more reach and bit more quality i got my hands on the AFA 1.7x and then was hoping to find an A*300 to pair it with. Alas that was not to be, and along came an FA*300 instead (the horror, the horror!)
Well, my first very brief walk down the beach here and i'm very pleased.
The lighting conditions weren't great, so i shot wide open and set the ISO at 800 & -1.0 EV to keep the shutter speed up. It came out quite a bit darker than i was expecting (lightroom to the rescue), so next time +0.3ev would be about right with the TC attached.
Final image isn't cropped, but i did increase the exposure a fair bit and some minor noise reduction. The bird is an Eastern Reef Egret in it's white morph.
