Valid point but for me I only use the drives for Aperture and Aperture alone. It's become a very stable and mature program now (unlike the early days) so the chances of a corrupted file killing both drives are fairly remote I'd have thought. I do however use CCC to backup once a week to an offsite location.

A few weeks ago we were evacuated from our home at 2am in the morning due to wild fires spreading really quickly. I had literally 5 mins to run round the house and grab a few things. It's not until something like this happens you realise the importance of an offsite backup plan.
