70-200mm F2.8VR11 or 135 F2 DC?

I am looking to complete my lens selection with some longer focal lengths ( I am set in the shorter focal lengths).

Use would be general photography, some family shots, landscapes etc. I have a D800E.

I was thinking of perhaps a 135mm F2 DC for baby/family portrait type shots.

But that is quite a specialised photo and the 70-200 would have broader usage and appeal.

Is there much of an advantage of the 135mm F2 DC over the 70-200 for portrait type images or will the 70-200 match it or fairly closely match it?

I am not a pro but aim for high quality. The 70-200 is quite a versatile range. The problem with it apart from cost is the lens is so large and heavy. I can't see myself carting it around too much but it wouldn't matter at a family event or picnic.

How do you find the portability of the 70-200?

I know the 135 is also quite heavy.

I am thinking perhaps get the 70-200 and later on get the Zeiss 135 F2 next year when it is shipping. The Zeiss would be nore portable and match the camera's sensor well.
