I find Paint Shop Pro to be between Elements & Photoshop. Better value for the money imo.

I've heard LR4 is not blaizingly fast on any machine. I'll be curious to hear how your new machine works for you. I'd love to build a new machine, but my custom 3 y.o. machine is very good (and silent!). I also do music recording. Could stand a MB, CPU, RAM upgrade, but I'd rather buy lenses and tools for my woodshop. Dang, too many hobbies.

I'll have to look at the 135mm f2.8. I like legacy manual focus glass and I don't have that focal length. I did just buy a 35-27mm f2.8-3.8 Tamron SP. Excellent zoom for $35ish.

Very sharp for a legacy zoom. Very good at close focusing.

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
