Flash and light diffuser for Nikon SLR

I would like your advice for buying a flash.

I am going to buy a Nikon D5100 with a 18-105 lens which will use me for all of my photographs.

I want it to have a good flash so I can photograph people in dark places, like dark pubs, so the people and all the background around them will look clear and not dark (with high ISO), not like results which get from the built-in flashes, where the people are light and shiny, and all the background around them are dark and not clear.

I suppose that Nikon Speedlight SB-700 along with Gary Fong light diffuser will do the work, but it's not cheap.

I notice that I want the light diffuser to have a yellow / warm toning, which I like more.

Maybe a cheaper solution can give me a similar results ?
Maybe a built-in flash with a card ?
Or a cheaper flash like Nikon SB-N5 ?

Or some other better advice for my needs ?

What about other cheaper flashes like:

  • Flash Yongnuo YN565 EX For Nikon

  • MARUMI D35AF Digital AF Flashgun Dedicated System For Nikon DSLR

Will they give similar results ? Not problematic ? What are the differences
between these and the original Nikon ?
Or should I not settle for not original flash here ?

And what light diffuser with a yellow / warm tone which is not too expensive ?

Thanks !
