Free is Expensive

This issue came up with the Kodak SLRn cameras. Kodak put huge resources into their RAW software and didn't charge for it. Most Kodak users said they would have paid 100-150 bucks for it if it meant more regular updates, etc.

Nikon charges for NX2 and although not everyone likes it, the program is pretty full featured and is updated pretty quickly.

SPP is free. You get what you pay for and pay for what you get.
