The problem with SPP is that there are no other true options. And no, Raw Developer doesn't count because of the poor noise and color vignette handling.

But are you sure that the Foveon data will fit the DNG format? Is DNG made for other than Bayer sensors RAW files?

That is my concern. It may be easy to say it should be supported by other companies, but do they then have to change larger parts of their software or could one manage to integrate it without a lot of work? And do one loose the things SPP can do? F.ex fill light doesn't work like fill light in other software I have tested.
