Re: Is it still worth it ... Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8 ?

First, for 95% users it is totally USELESS to get extra heavy, big and fast ZOOM lens to cover the ultrawide angle...! Why f2.8 when a UWL is never a solid performer in the corners at 2.8 and you need to stop down for decent depth of field anyway in most applications...? Why the enormous and heavy zoom for such a short 14-24 range - thats nonsense for 95% of you! Why to insist on AF in this focal range? Nosense, nonsense, nonsense...

Please just don´t believe to those limited fanboys telling you that you just have to have that, you need that and it gives you creative possibilities otherwise impossible... BullXhit !!

Get the Zeiss 18/3.5, it is a lifetime lens and you´ll be happy. Should you need more wide angle, get the Samyang 14mm/2.8 (select it from several copies I recommend) - it will give you 100% and even better performance than Nikon 14-24 for fraction of the price.

Last, but not least - forget all "erudite advices" in forums. Go to your dealer and make comparisons and judgements you for yourself...! Othwerise it will cost you tenths of thousands dollars until you get what I´m telling you here for free.

Good luck,
