I do not think you would be happy with a 135mm lens for macro photography, the usual minimum focus distance is around 1m and the magnification ratio is not so high, except for the Vivitar 135mm f2.8 Close Focusing with a ratio of 1:2.
If you want a dedicated macro lens :

The various 50mm macro lenses are relatively cheap and good quality and can be found from Minolta, Canon, Nikon, etc...

The 90 to 105mm which are more expensive but provide with a longer minimum focus distance, such as Tamron 90mm macro, Tokina 90mm macro, Vivitar 100mm macro, Kiron 105mm macro, etc...

If you are new to macro photography and are on a budget, the 50mm are the best solution.

It is difficult to tell you which lens can suit you best without any further information from you...


So how do I know which Len will suit me better. I more into shooting of Marco photography like those detailed insect photo.
