Re: For when a high res camera from Canon

Yes, but is it wise to do so ? Nikon's D800 and sony's first FF were announced long before the official release, preventing a customer base to switch system. I know now a dozen of previously happy canon users who went MF or bought a D800.

Canon's silence sounds in my ear now as: we are not interested in it or we can't do it, go to our competitors.

Really? In recent times Canon have been remarkably efficient at not leaking information. Certainly if you go back a few years, leaks (non deliberate) were a constant source of frustration at Canon and they worked extremely hard to close them down by changes in procedures, making their agencies sign NDAs and various other measures. Certainly Canon never release their product road maps outside the company and even internally only staff above a certain level get access to them.

Just because you have heard nothing does not mean that nothing is happening.
