You will be able to trade silver when/if there is a worlwide economic meltdown (have you seen what the Fed has done?). Paper money would be pretty useless if it happens. You can eat food. Brass and lead are some other metals that may come in handy as well:) I sure hope it does not come to this but it does not hurt to be prepared.

BTW, they cannot mine enough silver to meet demand for all of its industrial use. It has not been a bad investment for me.

China is having and economic slowdown and they would look to war as a way to get out of it. This is really not as much about Japan's lack of appoloy as it is about China's fear of its own economic meltdown.

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. Ignore it all you want.
