That tends to be the case. It is also a big part of Canikon marketing ("halo marketing") - the most of the best photos seem to be taken with Canikon cameras so you should buy one if you want to take good photos. Of course that is classic flawed logic. There are good reasons to go the FF Canikon route, but except for special cases "good photos" or even "IQ" are not compelling ones. Selection of lenses and accessories, very large prints, certain DoF effects are good ones.

I won't claim to meet the standards of the best stuff on 500px, but these aren't even a GH2 - they are a G1. They don't need shallow DoF as they are landscapes. And at Flikr and 500px resolutions (and prints below about 11x14) they are indistinguishable from FF results:
