I'm in very much the same place. Sold my DX gear (and a few FX lenses) to move to a more compact system built around Panasonic's GX1. I think it's going to take a few months to get several reviews for the GH3 and the D600, but both look very promising for their targeted markets.

To the OP, a D600 is likely to give you better image quality than a GH3 (or a GH2), but, in many cases, it will take some pixel-peeping to tell the difference (very much depends on the style of photography you like to pursue). My next photography purchase is likely to be some workshops to better master the equipment I already have and possibly expand my understanding how how to view a potential photographic opportunity. In other words, it's not all about the equipment. But good luck!
