Yes it is. Only people so often forget this. As I say in my signature "Tomorrows camera is better and smaller than today's".

This is a fact actually rooted at the size of the human hand. In essence all cameras are shrinking/growing to the best ergonomics of the human hand. For two handed operators the faster to operate manual lens will remain an option (Fuji X-10, HS30, X-S1 and XF1), whereas others, especially the video crowd, will continue to reap the benefits of the now so quiet motor zoom.
