Funny that you mention Richard Avadon. I actually did a shoot for Estee' Lauder's number one makeup artist ... she is still a best friend. I also had a couple of covers on Bride Magazine ... many years ago and I wrote two things for Modern Photography for Herb Keepler ... also, my brother-in-law was a manufacturer of bridal gowns and he advertised big and got to select a couple of covers every year. His show room was right on the pathway of the Macy's parade (I forget the address, maybe 7th Avenue???) and we would sit on the second floor and watch the parade go by. My past is big and my present is tiny. My deceased wife often called me a "has been." I would then tell her that at least I "has been" and she was a never was.
