Not very optimistic...

by nature. And please read this with a smile, don't get angry with an old man

I like good design. On cameras, too. Yes, yes, I know, the important thing is not the design, but the final image product. But I also like good design! There are many good cameras out there that I would not want because of the way it looks. The Nex and GH3 are two.

I have been using Olympus for many years now, E-1, E-3, E-5. And after that a Pen. I would like very much a camera that looks like a rangefinder. From Olympus. But with a design like the Fuji 100.

Why don't I get a Fuji? Too few lenses and some strange things that I don't like. I hoped for "my" camera with the OM-D. And it came close. But it looked more like a DSLR with that hump. I want rangefinder look. And I want more dedicated buttons, for exposure compensation and ISO.

I had some hope with the new Pens. The E-PL5, which I am sure is a good camera, has no exposure compensation button as far as I can see. Maybe the "pro" version will? The menu system of my E-PL2 is terrible.
Some months more to wait.

But, as I said, I am not optimistic. My E-PL2 takes good images (sold all my 4/3 gear) so that part is ok. Got two beautiful lenses (12 - 45). But I will probably not get the rangefinder look. And I would like to stick with Olympus, because I like the colours.
Ok. Stupid rant, maybe. I hope you got the gist of what I meant, anyway.

(And I lost my VF2 some days ago, will wait and see if there is anything in the rumours about a new and different one).
