Lens for A37
Hello all. I have recently purchased a Sony A37 with the standard SAL1855 lens (I couldn't find a body-only package). Anyway, I am really happy with my purchase because I was looking for a DSLR but wanted to keep it as compact as possible. The A37 cetainly fits the bill, and at the price it was pretty immune from buyer's remorse.
So, my plan was always to buy a decent walk-about lens. My preference so far is for a SAL1680Z as it is relatively light and compact.
Other options are:
SAL16105 (cheaper, wider range)
SAL2875 (faster but bigger and heavier)
SAL1650 (faster but bigger and heavier)
I'm not expecting a lens that does everything. Later on I will probably also get a fast fixed focal length wide/normal lens as well for those narrower DOF and low-light shots. But I want to see how I go with a decent walk-about lens first.
Does anyone here have any recommendations about the above? Are there any other lenses I should be considering? Don't really want to spend much more than $1000AUD/USD.
