horizontal line through photo, sensor failure?

horizontal line through photo, sensor failure?

three photos I took today with my NEX5N had a horizontal line cross the entire photo.
see the two samples ( had deleted the first one )

those are unedited, straight out of camera ( only re-sized by the hosting site, original sizes can be seen there too )

Is this a sensor failure? If so, shall I get it repaired?

My camera was bought in Europe and registered with Sony less than a year ago. Am I right to assume that this should be covered by guarantee?

Has anyone had experience with the same problem and repair under guarantee? Did the sensor get replaced, or the whole camera? How long did it take?
