Even with a well engineered lens, I figure the angle of incidence from the lens to the corners of that full frame sensor is likely problematic. You would have to have some sort of special configuration of the microlenses and that may be introducing distortion.

But is all just conjecture until production RX1s start appearing, no?

The two images that might give a hint about the resolution are shot in f/5.6 so the DOF is a bit shallow.

Edge to edge sharpness is not as impressive as the DP2M (which is a disappointment imho because the lens should have been fully optimized for that specific camera and sensor) and there is that Bayer feeling (which was to be expected).

It's a bit too early to make a judgement based on those few images but based on those, I would rather buy a DP2M than a RX1.
