Internal Hard Drive Strategy for Windows 7 & Photoshop CS6?

When I built my first PC 4 years ago, SSDs were not really "in play" and I used the following hard drive setup:

  • 160GB 7200 RPM drive for OS and programs

  • 160GB 7200 RPM drive as a cache drive (put Photoshop CS3 cache file there, I may have even mapped the Windows XP Pro page file there, can't remember)

  • 1TB 7200 RM drive for all data (backed up to an external 1TB drive)

For the new build I am spec'ing up, I plan to use a Samsung 830 256GB SSD as the OS / software programs drive, and a 2TB 7200 RPM spinner HDD as my internal data drive. My question is if I need another SSD or spinner HDD as a "cache drive" for things like the Windows 7 page file and/or the Photoshop CS6 cache file?

Not planning to do any sort of RAID.

Here's a spec list of my build so far:

  • Ivy Bridge 3570K or 3770K CPU

  • Z77 motherboard (specific model TBD)

  • 16G of RAM (2 x 8GB sticks - specific model TBD)

  • 650W power supply (specific model TBD)

  • Blu-Ray burner optical drive (specific model TBD)

  • Internal USB 3.0 memory card reader for offloading memory cards (specific model TBD)

  • Windows 7 64-bit OS (Specific version TBD)

Thanks in advance.
