The kit 12-50 works OK but is less useful in lower light situations. I found the 25mm f1.4 Panasonic good for general picture taking - the lens is fast enough so it can be used in lower light situations (restaurants, campfires, night street lighting) and it focuses quickly in most situations. The 7-14 zoom is also very useful.

20mm f1.7 Panasonic - I don't think it focuses as fast as the 25mm f1.4 but it is much smaller.

When i'm on vacation I don't have photography as my primary focus, so my opinions of lenses may not be as valid as someone who is concentrating on capturing interesting images.
