Longevity of images: DVD or USB?

Doen't solve the issue. External interfaces come and go. I have a ZIP drive that want's a parallel connection. USB will eventually be replaced by something better.

I suspect that 20 years from now USB will not be a common interface on whatever sort of device most people use (probably a tablet, or whatever replaces the tablet).
