$2099 leaves lots of room for a D400...

Yep, HUGE gap between D7000 ($996.95 on B&H right now) and the D600 ($2099.95). Nikon will have to put a camera in that gap. This is excellent news. Even with a D7100 at $1195, there's still a ton of price room for a D400.

A D400 is very likely. But Nikon still owes us DX shooters some other stuff as well.
