Convincing myself I don't need to replace the EX1

Took the bus to Southbank at Brisbane today where I discovered the light show, but of course it was daytime, but that didn't stop me taking a few shots.

By serendipity I discovered something interesting about how to get even better colour out of the EX1. It has been demonstrated on many reviews that as the ISO goes up, the colour saturation of EX1 images falls, especially from ISO200 and up. I find the saturation at default setting to be a bit flat for me, and yet the saturation +1 setting is too overdone. So I thought why not reduce it a bit by using a higher ISO.

Benefits are more accurate sky colour and vibrant natural colour. The noise floor in the EX1 is low enough to allow the use of ISO200 in daylight and still be able to raise shadows a bit, and also a good ISO to use in moderately low light shots and retain and high shutter speed.

So here is a demonstration set of jpg straight from the camera except for some cropping and sharpening etc. The bright mirror sphere also has the sky lightened a bit.

Saturation+1, ISO200, EV-.3 all other default.
