Well, my post isn't really about noise, is it? It's about how far the 5N can go shooting in low light, handheld. Sure the ISO capabilities come into hand and thus noise enters the equation, but as I said in my original post noise doesn't really bother me with the 5N - it's normally so fine grained and film like that I'm quite OK with it. It's the fact that I cannot get anything else of this 5N handheld when shooting at night.

Even if we were talking noise, 5N at 3200 and a FF at 3200 are two very different things. This of course plays into your argument of how much noise is acceptable to me, personally. But there's an objective measure where either detail is preserved or it is irreparably lost like in my first shot.
