It depends on the lens and aperture used, the lighting conditions, and the subject. If you use a lens stopped down and your subject contains a repeating pattern, you are likely to get moire. However, there is software to help mitigate this effect. I think it depends on if you want the convenience of not having to worry about moire or if you want the extra sharpness.
