Omg 70-200VRII & D800
I used to own the 80-200AFS which I was really impressed with. Used it on the D200 and D3. I sold it as it had been collecting dust for a few years.
As I have decided to go into wedding photography I have been spending big cash on the gear needed and boy is it expensive. Anyway, on my list to buy was the infamous 70-200VRII which had always been at the back of my mind but last friday I finally bought it, €1700 from Gibraltar.
I gave it a quick run out yesterday at a church for a christening and geez this thing is awesome. Fastest AF I have ever experienced, great sharpeness right across the frame and lovely and heavy!
Here is a quick snap from yesterday...can't wait to get stuck into weddings this coming autumn, starting off in Ireland next friday!
