Please, help me to decide...

Dear All,

I have a T2i or 550D Canon camera and also keep my old XTi or 400D that is still working fine and I use this last camera mostly as a second body in certain cases.

Currently, on my 550D I have a Tamron 18-270 mm f/3.5 - f/6.3 with IS, while I have a 18-55 mm f/3.5 - f/5.6 IS on my 400D (the kit lens of the 550D).

I am buying as prime lens a Canon 24 mm f/2.8. I will receive it next week. My idea is to have this prime lens on my 500D and then use the Tamrom on the 400D body.

However, I'm not completely sure that this is the best option; shouldn't is be better to keep the Tamrom in the 550D and use the 24 mm on the 400D?

Please, give me your opinions. Thank you.
