Don't think so... The original SD9 body is very much like the film Sigma DSLRs SA7 and SA9 ... I have a Sigma SA7.

Perhaps what you recall is, I think Sigma made camera bodies at one early time for another company, I believe though it was Kodak (?) Sold under Kodak name I think.
