Re: FZ200 - Fantastic

Well I think it's plain to see from today's forum traffic that the FZ200 is producing the goods in style. Whilst I was certainly not, as was suggested, trying to be provoking in my OP, I really do think that the FZ200 is the start of the end for mass domestic use of the DSLR. Today's forum traffic has not sounded this motivated toward camera change in a very long time indeed. Something is happening here. Acceptable IQ has reached the smaller sensors.

Look out for this next year folks. There is going to be one heck of a churn up in the camera market. It will start with news of this milestone getting back to the main manufacturers, or since they are way ahead of us, see their response to it.

The whole lens change idea is now under threat. Captain convenience is on the warpath still, only now with a weapon; the FZ200

The FZ50: DSLR handling of a bright Leica 35-420mm lens that's this good: http://www.flickr.com/groups/panasonicfz50/pool/ (slideshow always good). And now add the LX2: http://www.flickr.com/groups/lx2/pool/show/
