18-55 kit zooms used on APS-C DSLRs are f/5.6 at 55mm (I believe f/5 at 50mm). So, the 1+ stop advantage still holds.

I thought that you won't forget to convert to the full frame equivalent.
1.55x Sony APS-C crop... 50mm = 77mm ... Sony kit f5@77mm and RX100 f4@66mm
So, where have you found that 1+ stop advantage?
