I'd not recommend a DIY solution, other than using a strip of tape to hold the button in place.

It should be kept in place by a tiny retainer ring. It's this retainer ring, obviously made of a poor material, that breakes and causes the problem. To fix it you need the button with it's weather sealing collar, a new retainer ring and you need to take the body apart.

The use of superglue will not ensure proper weather sealing and it may cause your button to remain in a very fixed position. (Read "make your camera a point-and shoot with a one-lens-only function".)
